Code for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration and Renovation Engineering (Painting 10.1 General Provisions)

10.1.1 This chapter is applicable to the quality acceptance of sub projects such as water-based coating, solvent based coating, and art coating.

During the acceptance of the painting project, the following documents and records should be checked:

Construction drawings, design specifications, and other design documents for the painting project.

Product qualification certificates, performance testing reports, and entry acceptance records for the two materials.

10.1.2 The architectural coatings selected for the coating project shall meet the technical specifications of the following product standards in terms of their various properties.

10.1.3 The inspection batches of each sub project shall be divided according to the following regulations:

Each building's wall surface coated with the same type of paint in the outdoor painting project should be divided into an inspection batch every 500-1000m2, and any area less than 500 m2 should also be divided into an inspection batch.

2. For indoor painting projects, every 50 rooms (with a painting area of 30 m2 for large rooms and corridors) coated with the same type of paint should be divided into one inspection batch, and any room less than 50 should also be divided into one inspection batch.

10.1.4 The inspection quantity shall comply with the following regulations:

At least one location should be inspected for every 100 square meters of outdoor painting work, and each location should not be less than 10 square meters.

At least 10% of each indoor painting project inspection should be randomly selected, and no less than 3 rooms should be inspected; When there are less than 3 rooms, all should be inspected.

10.1.5 The base treatment of the coating project should meet the following requirements:

The concrete or plaster base layer of a new building should be coated with alkali resistant sealing primer before painting.

Before painting the old wall, the loose old decorative layer should be removed and an interface agent should be applied.

When applying solvent based coatings on concrete or plaster substrates, the moisture content shall not exceed 8%; When lotion coating is applied, the water content shall not be greater than 10%. The moisture content of the wood base shall not exceed 12%.

4. The base putty should be flat, solid, and firm, without powdering, peeling, or cracks; The bonding strength of interior wall putty should comply with the provisions of "Putty for Interior Use in Buildings" (JG/T3049).

5. Waterproof putty must be used for kitchen and bathroom walls.

Explanation:

10.1.5 Different types of coatings have different requirements for the moisture content of concrete or plaster base. When applying solvent coatings, it is recommended to follow the international general practice of not exceeding 8%; When lotion coating is applied, the decoration quality is good when the moisture content of the base layer is controlled below 10%. At the same time, the domestic and foreign building coating product standards require the moisture content of the base layer to be around 10%, so it is specified that the moisture content of the base layer is not more than 10% when lotion coating is applied.

The ambient temperature for the construction of water-based coating engineering should be between 5-35 ℃.

10.1.7 The coating project should undergo quality acceptance after the coating curing period has expired.
