How to Extend the Service Life of Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy flooring has gained increasing recognition and been widely applied, which is encouraging. However, its construction cost is much higher than ordinary cement flooring, and its maintenance and repair are relatively complicated with higher expenses. Therefore, proper daily maintenance and upkeep of epoxy flooring are extremely important. The routine protection measures are as follows:

1. Avoid sharp or hard objects rubbing directly against the floor surface.
2. If corrosive chemicals spill on the floor, wipe them off immediately with a dry cloth, then clean the area with clean water.
3. Oil and grease spills shall be cleaned up at once; otherwise, the floor surface will become slippery and easily cause slips and falls.
4. For factory workshop floors, install foot protectors on all workshop equipment. Equip frequently moved equipment with pulleys, and fit rubber pads under fixed equipment.
5. Keep trolleys and similar tools moving at a steady speed during use. Avoid sharp collisions and sudden turns to prevent damage to the floor.
6. Epoxy flooring is sensitive to temperature. Excessively high temperatures will trigger chemical reactions inside the floor, reduce the content of internal chemical components, and shorten its service life.
7. Keep the floor clean and tidy. This not only maintains the aesthetic appearance of the floor but also prevents damage caused by hard debris on the surface.
