Because epoxy flooring has the advantages of dust and moisture prevention, beauty and easy cleaning, strong adhesion, and impact resistance, the presence of epoxy flooring can protect vehicles parked in underground garages from damage caused by dust and moisture. It can also improve the service life of the parking lot floor and elevate its level, allowing car owners to have a happy mood when entering and exiting the parking lot.

What are the requirements for epoxy flooring on plain concrete?

1. Before the construction of epoxy flooring, the concrete floor must be waterproofed, and there should be no water leakage on the floor, wall corners, walls, or ceilings;

2. Cement floor standard: with a strength of C25 or above, it must be flat, without any gaps or bulges, and should not produce sand or dust due to friction;

3. The ground moisture content is less than 8%;

4. The thickness of the concrete layer on the ground is greater than 5cm, and the ground quality is excellent (high cement content, smooth finish);

5. The water cement ratio of the base concrete should be controlled below 0.5, and the concrete mix design should minimize segregation as much as possible.

6. To improve the strength of concrete, methods include using high-strength cement or early strength cement, using low water cement ratio dry hard concrete, and adding concrete admixtures and additives.

7. Epoxy flooring can only be constructed after 28 days of completion of cement flooring. For winter construction, the construction environment temperature must not be lower than 5 ℃. It is recommended to add appropriate early strength agents to the concrete and keep the humidity below 85%.

8. Expansion joints should be cut according to the architectural design requirements, with a width of 3-5mm. Special materials should be used to fill the expansion joints. Construction technology of epoxy flooring for underground parking garage

1、 Natural treatment:

1. Clean up the soil inside the expansion joint;

2. Fill expansion joints with materials;

3. After it is completely dry, polish and clean the entire floor to complete the natural treatment.

2、 Epoxy primer coating construction:

1. Before construction, the bare ground must be kept clean. If there are any debris on the bare ground, it must be cleaned up first;

2. Mix the epoxy resin and curing agent in the correct proportion and stir thoroughly;

3. Adjust the viscosity appropriately according to the actual situation on the ground;

4. The mixed epoxy resin material needs to be constructed within 4 hours;

5. After the primer is applied, it needs to be maintained and hardened for at least eight hours before further construction can proceed.

3、 Epoxy coating construction:

1. Mix the epoxy resin floor coating and curing agent, and stir thoroughly according to the correct ratio;

2. Add an appropriate amount of quartz sand to the mixture;

3. Apply the epoxy intermediate coating material evenly with a batch knife;

4. After the completion of the intermediate coating, it also needs to be maintained for more than eight hours to fully harden;

4、 Epoxy resin batch coating construction:

1. Mix the epoxy resin and curing agent in the correct proportion and stir thoroughly;

2. Add an appropriate amount of quartz powder after mixing;

3. Apply the material evenly using a batch knife;

4. The curing and hardening time for batch coating is about eight hours;

5、 Epoxy surface coating construction:

1. Before applying the surface coating, it is necessary to keep the ground clean. If there are any debris adhering to it, it needs to be removed first;

2. Mix the epoxy resin and curing agent in the correct proportion and stir thoroughly;

3. Spread the material evenly on the ground with a roller;

4. The mixed surface coating material needs to be constructed within 30 minutes
