Waterborne epoxy floor paint is one of the most common types of epoxy floor coatings and is widely applied in floor construction. What key points should be noted for waterborne epoxy floor paint?
Thickness
0.5mm — 1.0mm
Surface Finish
Glossy type; Anti-slip type; Roller-coated finish
Service Life
2 to more than 8 years
Floor Features
Water-based and eco-friendly; constructible in humid environments; soft luster and superior texture; excellent anti-corrosion, alkali-resistant and oil-resistant performance with good air permeability.
Scope of Application
Underground parking lots, ground floors, and construction under humid conditions;
Venues requiring zero solvent pollution;
Premises with restrictions on heavy metal content.
Construction Process
Base Surface TreatmentGrind, repair and remove dust according to the actual condition of the base surface.
Waterborne Epoxy PrimerConstruction can proceed as long as there is no standing water or obvious seepage. It has certain vapor permeability, improves base strength and enhances adhesion between the coating and the base.
Waterborne Epoxy Intermediate CoatMix waterborne epoxy resin with an appropriate amount of quartz sand, apply one even coat with a trowel to increase floor thickness and compression resistance of the coating.
Waterborne Epoxy PuttyApply 2 to 3 coats as required, until the surface is flat without holes, trowel marks or sanding marks.
Waterborne Epoxy TopcoatApply two coats of roller-coated waterborne epoxy topcoat, or one coat of trowel-finish waterborne epoxy topcoat. The finished floor shall feature soft uniform luster, cleanliness, consistent color and no hollowing.
Completion & Curing RulePedestrian access allowed after 36 hours;
Heavy load access allowed after 96 hours.
