Thanks to excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance, as well as seamless integration, solid texture, easy maintenance and low upkeep costs, epoxy flooring products were first introduced to Beijing in 1999 and have since gained nationwide recognition and acceptance.

In the early stage, epoxy flooring was poorly recognized by clients, making product promotion extremely difficult with very limited business volume. After years of continuous promotion, its advantages have gradually been widely acknowledged.
At present, most factories, workshops, warehouses, logistics centers, supermarkets, exhibition halls, garages and parking lots in Beijing adopt epoxy flooring. The annual market volume in Beijing alone exceeds 3 million square meters. Substantial consumption demand also exists in other northern cities such as Tianjin, Shenyang and Changchun. With rapid economic growth, the market scale of flooring products will continue expanding.
Flooring solutions have evolved from the original single wear-resistant flooring to a wide range of categories, including epoxy flooring, decorative flooring, PVC flooring, cement self-leveling, floor mortar, and artistic concrete flooring. Epoxy flooring alone has further diversified into epoxy color sand flooring, epoxy terrazzo and more.
Each category is subdivided into complete series. Epoxy flooring covers coating type, high-strength mortar type, self-leveling type, water-based eco-friendly type, color sand decorative type, heavy-duty type, anti-static type and other variants. New products such as color sand flooring, epoxy quartz stone flooring and decorative flooring have achieved rapid market acceptance.
The epoxy flooring industry features relatively low technical barriers, with no strict requirements on capital strength, enterprise management or unified industry standards, resulting in low entry thresholds.
As the northern market expands in recent years, an increasing number of enterprises have entered the sector, driving competition to an intense level. Many small businesses cut prices blindly to grab market share, dragging down overall product prices and industry profit margins.
Take cement-colored wear-resistant flooring as an example; the current market price has dropped to around 28 yuan per square meter, while ordinary epoxy flooring can barely cover construction costs.
Functionally, modern flooring is no longer limited to basic performance such as bearing static and dynamic loads, resisting abrasion and impact, and withstanding erosion from water, acid, alkali, salt, oil and cleaning agents. Customers also demand attractive appearance and uniform color, endowing flooring with an environmental beautification function. Some clients even require special performances including explosion-proof, fireproof and anti-static properties.
Customers also set increasingly strict quality standards, with some explicitly specifying service life in formal contracts.
In terms of project scale, as clients attach greater importance to ground treatment and construction projects grow larger, the output value of single flooring projects keeps rising. For instance, some underground garage epoxy flooring projects reach an output value of 3 million yuan, and certain logistics warehouse wear-resistant flooring projects exceed 2 million yuan. Many tobacco industry construction tenders for epoxy color sand, epoxy quartz stone and decorative flooring involve bid amounts of over ten million yuan.
