Guangzhou University is a comprehensive university run by the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) was jointly established through a cooperative school-running agreement signed by the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, Guangzhou University, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
