Coarse grained
The surface of the mask film is doped with protruding particles of different sizes, which seriously affects its appearance.
① The workpiece itself contains particles. Can be carefully wiped, brushed, or polished.
② The air in the operation site is turbid, and dust falls on the cover film.
③ The gloss coating itself contains particles, paint, and other impurities. If various impurities fall into the coating, or if the gloss coating has been used for too long and there are many mechanical impurities. Before use, the coating should be carefully stirred and dissolved, and then filtered through a fine sieve to remove particles before use. Unclean tools and containers can also cause coarse particles.
④ When spraying, the distance between the spray gun and the workpiece is too close, the high-pressure gas is not purified, and the pressure is too high, which can also cause coarse particles. Sometimes it can also cause malfunctions such as orange peel.
Slow drying and sticky hair
If you fail to dry within the specified time, it is called slow drying. The masking film has been formed, but it sticks to the hands, which is called hair sticking. Both of these faults affect the quality of the masking film. Sometimes the cause is due to quality issues with the coating itself, sometimes due to improper proportioning, and more often due to improper operation.
① If the coating is stored for a long time and the container has poor sealing, it will cause solvent evaporation and change the properties of the coating
After release, slow drying or sticking often occurs.
② Improper use of diluents. If kerosene or diesel is added, it can also cause slow drying and sticking due to poor volatilization.
③ Excessive thickness of the masking film or high room temperature during operation can also cause this defect.
