In China, the start of heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings was basically synchronized with the reform and opening up, and started relatively late. In 2011, China's heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings achieved brilliant performance, with a significant increase in production and performance, as well as varying degrees of growth in usage range and service life. It is predicted that China's macro economy will maintain a high-speed and stable development of 7% -8% in the next 10 years. However, there are still many urgent problems to be solved in China's heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating industry. In order for the industry to develop healthily, four aspects of problems need to be addressed.

2、 It is a standardized and regulated market. However, the industry standards and supporting systems for sewage treatment systems in the fields of petrochemicals, electronics, food, etc. are still being formulated, and some markets are experiencing disorderly and irregular competition. Industrial flooring involves a wide range of industries and is difficult to standardize. Even if national standards are formulated, it is difficult to cover its application areas, which can easily lead to disorderly competition and hinder the normal development of the industry.

3、 It is necessary to strengthen the research on coating application performance and coating technology to ensure the reliability of the product. Starting from the concept of integrated coating and painting, emphasis is placed on the study of coating construction performance, including the adaptability of coatings to different substrate processing levels, the adaptability of coatings to construction methods and processes, and the adaptability of coatings to construction environments. Continuously optimize and enhance the comprehensive performance of products, strengthen the coating matching system and performance evaluation, improve the scientificity and rationality of the matching system, and adapt to the requirements of different corrosive environments. Especially in the maintenance or repainting process of equipment and facilities, the coating technology, surface treatment, and supporting system should be highly valued due to differences in corrosion and construction environments, variations in the damage condition of the original coating, and harsh construction conditions.

4、 It is to strengthen the vocational skills training of anti-corrosion coating personnel, improve industry quality and competitiveness. In recent years, anti-corrosion coating companies have mainly been private enterprises in Jiangsu, Henan and other places, and their employees are mainly migrant workers. Although their construction management level and personnel quality have made significant progress over the past decade, they still lack systematic training, making it difficult to meet the demands of the high-end market. The development of China's shipbuilding and heavy anti-corrosion industry requires a large number of high-quality project managers, technical representatives, and construction personnel who meet the required skills. In the coming years, relevant industry organizations should take on this responsibility.
