Performance Characteristics of Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy flooring is consolidated by epoxy floor paint and super-hard quartz sand. It boasts ultra-high strength, heavy load resistance, impact resistance, wear resistance and strong adhesion. It is also dustproof, moisture-proof, waterproof, anti-corrosive and mildew-proof. The finished surface is flat, smooth and easy to clean. It is available in high-gloss and anti-slip finishes, and is highly suitable for low-temperature and humid environments.

Epoxy Flooring Construction Process

1. Waterproof Treatment: Waterproofing must be completed for ground floors.

2. Base Surface Treatment: Grind, repair and remove dust according to the actual condition of the original base.

3. Epoxy Primer: Apply one roller coat of high-permeability and high-adhesion epoxy primer to enhance surface bonding force.

4. Epoxy Intermediate Coat: Mix epoxy resin with an appropriate amount of quartz sand, and apply several even coats with a trowel.

5. Epoxy Putty Coating: Apply multiple coats as required until the surface is flat, free of holes, trowel marks and sanding traces.

6. Epoxy Topcoat: Apply two roller coats of solvent-based epoxy topcoat or anti-slip topcoat. The finished floor shall be bright, clean, uniform in color and free of hollowing.

7. Curing Period: Pedestrian access is allowed after 24 hours; heavy load traffic is permitted after 72 hours.
