Review Meeting of Penetrating Liquid Hardener Held in Beijing

On December 21, 2011, the Standards and Quality Department of China Building Materials Federation organized and held the review meeting for the building materials industry standard Penetrating Liquid Hardener (Project No.: 2010-0629T-JC) at China National Building Materials Research Institute. A total of 23 delegates from manufacturers, end users, scientific research institutes, quality inspection institutions and other relevant organizations attended the meeting, including 10 expert panel members.

The review panel acknowledged that the submitted documents for the standard were complete, the standard compilation was rigorous, extensive in-depth investigations and experimental verification had been carried out with authentic and reliable data; and the technical indicators and test methods were scientific and reasonable.

First, the main drafters of the standard introduced the compilation process and the summary of solicited opinions to all participants. Subsequently, the review panel examined the submitted draft standard word by word and put forward revision suggestions.

The review panel reached a unanimous conclusion as follows:

1. With the rapid development of the flooring industry, the market has continuously raised quality requirements for penetrating liquid hardener materials. The formulation and implementation of this standard can not only effectively guide enterprises in production organization, but also provide a scientific basis for relevant national authorities to monitor product quality and accurately evaluate product performance. It will also play a positive role in standardizing the market and improving the overall quality level of such products.
2. No patent-related issues are involved in this product standard. The formulation and effective implementation of the standard not only strengthen environmental protection, but also deliver significant social and economic benefits. It complies with national industrial policies, features environmental friendliness, and achieves remarkable energy conservation, emission reduction and resource conservation effects.
